Getting Ready for Postpartum

Parenthood is a journey and JoDoula is there to build your confidence. Preparing for postpartum brings a smooth transition from birth to being with baby. Self-care for you and everyone in the family can be possible when we do a little homework ahead of time. Feel confident in taking care of your baby by learning how to bathe, change, and soothe baby. Manage your time between taking care of your baby and recovering from birth by making a meal plan ahead of time, and know that you can count on your inner intuition to heal and be a mother. Class description: *Understand how your body heals and when to reach out for family and professional support *Learn about babywearing benefits, how to care for yourself and baby, car seats, et cetera *Practice making a postpartum plan, (Example: support, food, personal time) swaddling, et cetera *Create a diaper rash powder *Share easy recipes, ideas for self-care, resources *Embrace that every culture and person has a different approach to care, and we can all learn from one another. Bring your knowledge and let’s unite cultural power! Questions How long will the class be? Answer: 2.5 hours. What do I get to take home? Answer: You get to take home a diaper rash powder. How much does the class cost? Answer: $80.00. What is the class size? Answer: The class size is a maximum of five couples. When should this class be taken? Answer: This class should be taken starting at 30 weeks pregnancy. Who should take this class? Answer: This class is for all families who want to have an easier transition to postpartum and would like to brainstorm to make this happen. It is also designed for those who just want to meet other expecting parents to build community. *Enroll in 3 classes and get $30.00 off. *Class length may vary depending on number of participants and amount of practice. *Private classes add $30.00 per class
